This is the last post in the project. So I sum up, a bit.

Some of the Noyes students were the best and brightest of their generation.

For Wallace, the story of Noyes Academy was the pointless loss of a school that would have transformed his beloved Canaan.

Noyes Academy was destroyed on August 10 1835. On August 11, the corpse was dragged down the street.

The destroyers of the school went to great lengths to pretend they were within the law. They weren't. Not even close.

Once Noyes Academy was established, both its supporters and its opponents held rallies to drum up support for their side.

Noyes Academy ended up in Canaan for a whole bunch of reasons. Most of them revolved around abolitionist N.P. Rogers.
